Overall, Kite Runner is a story that is interesting in a way it is not interesting at all. The book first of all is all fiction which throw some people off because the story sounded very realistic, but then it takes place in a really realistic setting where some event are event that actually happened. The author, Khaled Hossein, wrote this base on his experience as well as event in the author life that serve as an inspiration to writing a historical fiction.
My first impression of Kite Runner is that it is very dramatic. The characters event seemed very real and their action in which the author, Khaled Hassein, describe life in Afghanistan through fictional character and realistic plot and setting. I think the way to write like this is nice because the Fictional character is supported by a realistic setting in which it made the character seemed extremely real as some people can relate the history with their own. The plot, however, is supported by the realistic setting. The reason why I think the plot is actually being affected is that first of all if you image a story where a kid just take a bottle of milk and drink it. Your very first impression of it was properly something like uhhh ok? What come next after he drink the milk? But now image the story is supported by some kind of story and setting. This is exactly what Hassein is doing to his first book Kite Runner. This make the story very unique from other and that is what make it very worth reading.
As you progress through the books, it start to get kind of plain and boring. But sooner or later you will realize that it is a spin-off from the author life. The spin-off is what actually drive the story continuing forward despite some weird and unknown transition between the story. I strongly recommend everyone who is reading this post to actually try out this book because I feel it is a book where almost everyone can relate their own personal experience and hardship with the event that is going on in the story.
